We would like to extend an invitation for practitioners to participate in a half day Zazenkai. A Zazenkai enables practitioners the opportunity to deepen their meditation practice by engaging in several consecutive sitting periods interspersed with walking meditation.
As silence is maintained, a bell and clappers are used as signals indicating the beginning and ending periods of sitting and walking. For those who have never sat with Muge Zen we ask that you arrive early to be given a brief overview.
All Zazenkai participants are requested to stay for the full time (8:30am to 1:00pm) to engender a unified experience for all attendees. If you are unable to do so, please contact Ted in advance. We have a few zafus and zabutons (cushions and mats), but you are welcome to bring your own. Chairs are also available.
Arrival Time: Doors open at 8:00am
Start Time: Be seated by 8:25am
End TIme: 1:00pm after snack and cleanup
